Medan, N Sumatra, Dec 29 (ANTARA) - Most of the humanitarian aid supplies from Malaysia and Australia for the victims of Sunday`s tsunami disaster in the Indonesian province of Aceh were dropped at Medan`s Polonia airport in North Sumatra due to transportation problems.
As of Wednesday morning, logistics and medical supplies from Malaysia and Australia were still piled at the airport because both civilian and military airplanes which are supposed to transport the relief materials to Aceh have yet to arrive in Medan.
"The humanitarian assistance cannot immediately be tranported to Aceh because civilian and military flights to Aceh are not optimally normal yet," PT Nusantara Air Charter spokesman Didit Suryadi said here Wednesday.
